This is the location for Leon's corner shop where he buys his cartons of milk. The doorway next to the shop was used as the entrance to the hotel where Leon and Mathilda lived, at the beginning of the movie. However, the interior of the hotel was actually the Hotel Chelsea at 222 west 23rd street.
